PRODUCTS: INTERIOR TRIMS

Interior trims play an increasingly important role in enhancing the quality, comfort and appeal of vehicles today and for the future. The look and feel of interior parts will continue to be a deciding factor vehicle purchases.

PARCEL TRAY TRIMS
These parts cover the shelf area between the rear seat back and the rear windscreen. It houses the speaker covers and has design features and materials to suit the character of the car. They are constructed from a hard base material and a bonded covering material. Depending on the design of the vehicle, various attachments such as grilles, mounting pivots, spines and pads may be attached. HASB makes these products from moulded hard base materials such as polyester resins, resinated felts and thermoplastic natural fibre composites. Covering materials are usually specified by our customers.

HEADLINERS
Headliners play an important role in the visual appeal of the vehicle, and are increasingly called upon to enhance the sound comfort of its interior. Soft decorative foam liners have very little insulation from heat or noise (eg. from raindrops impact and external sounds). Hard moulded plastics or cardboard with low permeability have low absorbtion, which may contribute to a "harsh" sounding interior. Materials that have a good balance sound absorbtion and insulation are preferred for this purpose. HASB makes headliners from moulded resinated felt base that have good absorbtion characteristics. The covering materials range from skinned foams to specified fabrics for visual appeal and acoustic performance.
