PRODUCTS: NOISE DAMPERS

Dampers serve an important function in the reduction of noise in a vehicle. Noise in vehicles arises from many sources - engine, road, external sources, wind, etc. Most of the noise is transmitted to the driver and passengers by propagation through the steel panels of the vehicle. Dampers work by reducing the tendency of the body panels to vibrate, hence reducing noise emission and transmission to the passenger compartment. When a new vehicle body is fabricated, dampers are placed on the body-in-white before it goes through the protection coating and painting process. The heat in the coating oven causes the dampers to bond to the steel panels of the body.

Presently, HASB supplies 99% of all noise dampers in Malaysia. As the automotive industry in Malaysia continues to grow, HASB will be adding a new damper production line to meet increasing demand and to improve the quality of their products. The new line will be able to make higher performance products, and also widen its range of applications in the automotive and non-automotive markets.
